On January 23, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, made an announcement on the X platform, revealing that the monthly subscription fee of $99 for Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature is set to rise in tandem with its enhanced functionality. Musk elaborated that, once the FSD capabilities are further refined, drivers will have the freedom to use their mobile phones or even take a nap throughout the entirety of their drives. Moreover, Tesla has decided to discontinue the one-time purchase option for FSD after February 14, fully embracing a monthly subscription model instead.
