By 2026, China's intelligent driving capabilities are expected to undergo a tenfold enhancement, as evidenced by a corresponding tenfold increase in the urban MPI (Miles Per Intervention) metric. This metric measures the average annual distance a vehicle can travel between manual interventions, with the ambitious goal of surpassing 10,000 miles of autonomous urban driving by 2028. Additionally, Yu Kai announced that the Journey 7 model would be launched concurrently with Tesla's next-generation AI5. Furthermore, he revealed that by 2026, at least eight new car models from CoreRoute—a joint venture between Horizon Robotics and Volkswagen—would incorporate Horizon Robotics' cutting-edge solutions.
