On the X platform, electric vehicle analyst Sawyer Merritt shared a post, claiming that the Cybercab could be churned out from the production line in under 10 seconds. In contrast, he noted that the Model Y requires 34 seconds for the same, with a long-term vision to slash the production cycle down to roughly 5 seconds. In response, Musk elaborated that the initial phase of production is generally sluggish, adhering to an 'S'-curve pattern of development. He pointed out that the pace of production acceleration is inversely related to the quantity of new components and processes incorporated. Given that nearly all components and processes for both the Cybercab and Optimus are brand-new, early production rates are exceptionally slow. However, he emphasized that in the end, production speeds would soar to remarkable levels.
