Recently, six key government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, have jointly unveiled the "Interim Measures for the Management of Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Spent Power Batteries from New Energy Vehicles." Adhering to a management strategy that encompasses the "entire channel, full supply chain, and complete lifecycle," these measures lay down a solid legal framework for the effective management of power battery recycling and utilization. Central to these measures is the establishment of a "vehicle-battery integrated scrapping" system, mandating that power batteries must be disposed of in conjunction with the scrapping of new energy vehicles. Concurrently, a digital ID management system for power batteries is being implemented, leveraging digital technologies to bolster flow monitoring and ensure traceability throughout the battery's lifecycle.
