On January 19, 2026, Xiaomi Auto revealed that its new-generation SU7 Max had traveled a remarkable 4,264 kilometers in a 24-hour endurance challenge, setting a fresh benchmark for pure electric vehicles (EVs). This rigorous test demanded the vehicle to operate non-stop for a full day, with charging times included, thereby placing immense pressure on its range capabilities, charging efficiency, thermal management, and overall energy consumption control.

The new-generation SU7 Max is powered by Xiaomi's cutting-edge V6s Plus super motor, capable of reaching a maximum speed of 22,000 rpm. It boasts an 897V silicon carbide high-voltage platform and is paired with a robust 101.7kWh ternary lithium battery, providing a CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle)-certified range of up to 835 kilometers. Moreover, it can replenish enough energy to cover 670 kilometers in just 15 minutes when charged at Xiaomi's exclusive charging stations.

Safety and luxury are not compromised, as the vehicle comes standard with LiDAR technology, 9 airbags, and a 2200MPa hot-formed steel roll cage across all variants. The Pro and Max trims are further enhanced with dual-chamber air suspension and CDC (Continuous Damping Control) shock absorbers for an even smoother ride.

Set to hit the market in April 2026, the new car is expected to be priced between 229,900 and 309,900 yuan during the pre-sale phase. It will go head-to-head with competitors like the Tesla Model 3, offering consumers a compelling alternative in the EV segment.
