Luobo Kuaipao, a subsidiary under Baidu, has quietly initiated operations in approximately 20 cities throughout China, including five cities in Guangdong Province, such as Guangzhou and Foshan. Since late November of the previous year, Luobo Kuaipao has been making significant strides in the development of intelligent connected vehicles through a series of approved projects. Specifically, the road testing and demonstration application projects in Jiangmen and Dongguan have secured total investments of 50 million yuan and 70 million yuan, respectively. Jiangmen has laid out plans to deploy a minimum of 90 intelligent connected vehicles, whereas Dongguan is set on procuring 1,000 autonomous driving vehicles and constructing a dedicated base. Furthermore, the Luobo Kuaipao South China Operations Headquarters project has been officially registered in Shunde, Foshan, with a projected total investment of 18 million yuan. This project is geared towards establishing a headquarters for a driverless ride-hailing demonstration initiative and formulating plans for related areas.
