On January 13, Novo Energy, a battery startup operating under the auspices of Swedish automaker Volvo Cars, revealed that it would be suspending its operations. The company also stated its intention to persist in its search for project partners. Faced with the challenge of not being able to proceed with its original operational blueprint due to the absence of a new technology collaborator, Novo Energy has made the difficult decision to let go of 75 of its employees. The company has duly informed the trade union of this development and has officially submitted a layoff notice.
