Reports indicate that Ms. Wu, a resident of Ningbo, encountered a series of troublesome issues after purchasing a Zhidou electric vehicle for 37,300 yuan in March 2025. The vehicle began to exhibit frequent malfunctions shortly after purchase, and accessing after-sales service became an insurmountable challenge. Merely two months after taking delivery, the driver's side sun visor detached unexpectedly. Initially, the after-sales team agreed to a warranty repair. However, they later reversed their decision, claiming the issue fell outside the warranty period. From October 2025 onwards, Ms. Wu faced an even more alarming problem: pressing the accelerator occasionally failed to initiate acceleration, and this issue persisted even after restarting the vehicle. During an interview, the situation worsened as the right front wheel hubcap detached and was lost. Currently, Ms. Wu finds herself in a dire situation, unable to reach Zhidou's official after-sales service. The manufacturer's 400 customer service hotline remains unresponsive, leaving her without any recourse. The Ningbo Yongcheng after-sales station clarified that Zhidou is not affiliated with the Geely brand and that they, too, have been unable to establish contact with the Lanzhou-based manufacturer. They further noted that warranty claims submitted since July of the previous year could no longer be honored. Adding to the confusion, a sales manager at another Zhidou 4S dealership revealed that the Lanzhou production factory is suspected of having shut down operations. Public records corroborate this suspicion, listing Lanzhou Zhidou Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. as a dishonest entity subject to enforcement.
