As of January 1, 2026, BMW China is set to modify the manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRPs) for 31 of its key models. For certain models, the price reductions will surpass RMB 300,000. On average, the price cuts exceed 10%, with 24 models witnessing reductions over 10% and 5 models experiencing drops exceeding 20%. The flagship all-electric model, the i7 M70L, will undergo a direct price slash of RMB 301,000, bringing its new price tag down to RMB 1.598 million. Meanwhile, the entry-level, locally-produced M235L will, for the first time, dip below the RMB 300,000 mark. BMW China clarified that this initiative represents a proactive shift in product strategy rather than a price war, with the goal of bolstering brand loyalty and market competitiveness.
