Insider sources reveal that Samsung Electronics has kicked off the supply of cutting - edge automotive chips for BMW's electric vehicles. This move represents a significant milestone in its efforts to expand its automotive components business. It has been reported that Samsung Electronics has supplied the Exynos Auto V720 chip for BMW's newly launched iX3 electric vehicle. By doing so, it has secured the position of the primary semiconductor partner for BMW's Software - Defined Vehicle (SDV) project. In addition, Samsung Electronics is also set to provide the Exynos Auto V920 processor for BMW's upcoming next - generation 7 Series models.
