According to The Newswhee, Tesla has introduced a two-tier cleaning fee system for its Robotaxi service. A charge of $50 will be applied for minor stains (such as food residue, dirt), while severe contamination (such as vomiting, smoking inside the car) will incur a $150 fee. This aims to maintain fleet hygiene and enhance user trust. Currently, Tesla's Robotaxi fleet is still at a semi-autonomous driving stage technically, and manual intervention is still required for aspects such as vehicle cleaning and charging.
