On December 28, GAC Group formally introduced its 'Three Liabilities' policy for its in-house brands, encompassing three key brands: GAC Hyper, GAC Trumpchi, and GAC Aion. The policy details are outlined below:
- Should a vehicle experience spontaneous combustion and meet the scrapping criteria due to quality defects in the three-electric system (comprising the power battery, motor, and electric control), the manufacturer will compensate by providing a new vehicle of identical configuration or equivalent value.
- In cases where battery capacity degradation (clarification: 'attenuation' here denotes a decrease in performance or capacity) surpasses the acceptable limit owing to battery quality issues, the manufacturer will replace it with a brand-new, genuine battery at no cost.
- If an accident arises solely due to the Intelligent Parking Assist Function (clarification: 'Intelligent Parking Assist Function' refers to a system that aids in parking), the manufacturer will bear the full repair expenses and any third-party property damage incurred.
This policy is applicable to designated vehicle models purchased and invoiced prior to December 31, 2026, under specific conditions. These include being the first non-commercial vehicle owner, adhering to annual mileage restrictions, exclusively servicing and maintaining the vehicle at manufacturer-authorized 4S stores, utilizing genuine manufacturer parts, and having quality issues verified through manufacturer or third-party identification processes. It excludes situations resulting from non-function-related factors, such as human error or external influences.
