On December 26, Weineng made an announcement regarding the successful completion of its Series C equity financing round, raising close to 1 billion yuan. Following the capital increase by founding shareholders and the introduction of two new investors—Haining Economic Development Zone and Chengmai (located in Hainan)—the company has now further expanded its investor base by bringing on board a state-owned capital entity from Dongpo District, Meishan City. The proceeds from this financing will be allocated to various strategic areas, including the expansion of the battery asset business, the transformation and execution of industrial achievements, and investment in technological research and development.
