On December 26, the 10,000th complete vehicle of the Dongfeng Mengshi M817 officially came off the assembly line at Mengshi Tech Park, located in the Wuhan Economic Development Zone. On this occasion, Dongfeng Motor also made an announcement that its new energy vehicle sales would surpass 1 million units by 2025. The Mengshi M817, the inaugural intelligent off-road vehicle co-developed by Dongfeng Mengshi and Huawei, has garnered significant market acclaim since its August launch, reaching the production milestone of 10,000 units in a mere four months. This vehicle is outfitted with cutting-edge intelligent technologies, including Huawei's ADS 4.0 intelligent driving system and HarmonyOS cockpit. Additionally, it features a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, delivering a CLTC combined range of up to 1,300 kilometers. From 2026 onwards, Mengshi Auto intends to introduce two new models annually, establishing three core product lines: the iconic 917 series, the mainstream M817 series, and an entirely new product line designed to appeal to a wider audience. This approach is geared towards expediting global expansion and showcasing Chinese luxury intelligent off-road vehicles on the international stage.
