On the evening of December 23, reports surfaced online from netizens alleging that the Zhengzhou Zhongyuan Porsche Center, situated in the Zhongyuan District of Zhengzhou City, appeared to be "shutting down and possibly absconding." The showroom was nearly devoid of vehicles, and attempts by consumers to reach the sales staff proved futile. Deposits paid by affected customers for vehicle purchases ranged from 20,000 yuan to several hundred thousand yuan. Moreover, prepaid services like "lifetime maintenance," which many car owners had purchased, were now at risk of being unfulfilled.

According to sales consultants, when employees arrived at work on December 23, they discovered that the company premises had already been cleared out. Several customer deposits remained unprocessed, employee salaries and reimbursements were pending, and even customers who had already taken delivery of their vehicles had not received the necessary qualification certificates.

The local police station advised consumers to pursue legal avenues to safeguard their rights. Initial reports suggested that the closure might be attributed to a broken capital chain resulting from poor management practices. Porsche China's customer service is currently in the process of verifying the situation and has not yet released any additional information.

On the afternoon of December 24, the Zhongyuan District Bureau of Commerce announced that relevant departments had formed a special task force to begin initial interventions in handling the matter. The store in question is operated by Zhengzhou Dongbaorun Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., which underwent a change in its senior management on December 17. When reporters attempted to contact the relevant numbers, they received no effective responses.
