Porsche China has declared that, commencing March 1, 2026, it will embark on a phased shutdown of roughly 200 independently operated high-power DC charging stations and cease offering its premium charging services. This strategic decision is geared towards optimizing resource distribution. Moving forward, Porsche intends to forge deeper collaborations with top-tier domestic third-party charging service providers, ensuring that the charging requirements of its vehicle owners are adequately addressed.

This year, Porsche has witnessed a 26% year-on-year decline in sales within the Chinese market and is concurrently downsizing its dealer network. The effectiveness of this move in reversing the current sales downturn remains an open question, one that only time will answer.
