On December 18, Bloomberg reported a concerning trend among Tesla owners in the United States. Following a spate of incidents where individuals found themselves trapped inside Tesla vehicles due to malfunctioning doors, some drivers have started to take proactive safety measures. These include carrying emergency escape tools and, in some cases, even deciding to switch to a different make of car.
The situation came to a head earlier this year when, in May, Erin Gittel experienced a harrowing ordeal. Her young child became trapped inside a Tesla electric vehicle after a power outage rendered the car door inoperable. This incident left a lasting impression on the family. Consequently, just a few weeks later, Erin opted to purchase a new car from a Honda dealership, designating it as their primary family vehicle.
