Recently, Maserati dealerships across various regions have rolled out a clearance campaign for their all-electric SUV, the Grecale Folgore. The entry-level model is now available at a starting price of just 358,800 yuan, marking a substantial price cut of 540,000 yuan from its original 898,800 yuan tag. The majority of these discounted models are from the existing stock, and due to the limited availability, certain areas have already witnessed a complete sell-out. Maserati's sales have been on a downward trajectory in recent times, particularly experiencing a jaw-dropping plunge of over 70% in the Chinese market in 2024. This price slash is primarily aimed at offloading inventory and replenishing financial resources. Nevertheless, Maserati's shift towards electrification has been sluggish, with inadequate technological foundations for its all-electric offerings. There exists a notable disparity in intelligent features when compared to high-end domestically manufactured models, and the brand's ability to command a premium has been significantly undermined.
