Recently, Nissan Motor and Wayve, a UK-based autonomous driving technology firm, have entered into a definitive cooperation agreement. Nissan's cutting-edge ProPILOT super-intelligent driving system is set to incorporate Wayve's AI-driven driving software, which will then be deployed across multiple vehicle models.

Since its debut in 2016, the ProPILOT super-intelligent driving system underwent a significant upgrade in 2019. With the new agreement now in place, both entities will work hand in hand to facilitate the widespread adoption of this system in mass-produced vehicle models. Nissan has laid out plans to introduce the inaugural vehicle model equipped with this system in the Japanese market by the 2027 fiscal year, with a gradual rollout to the global market to follow.

This partnership positions Nissan as the pioneering automaker globally to pledge the large-scale integration of Wayve's AI system across a multitude of mass-produced vehicle models.
