On December 9, Li Auto made an announcement, stating that it would introduce its inaugural vehicle model featuring L4 autonomous driving capabilities within the next three years, roughly by 2028. This move is a proactive response to market forecasts suggesting that 'driverless cars will make their debut in the coming 3 to 5 years.' Li Xiang, the Chairman and CEO of Li Auto, also shared his vision, predicting that by 2030, there is a 50% chance that the company will unveil an AI supercar. Li Auto holds a firm belief in the impending future of 'driverless cars,' asserting that the attainment of L4 autonomous driving will signify a monumental shift in the automotive sector, ushering in a far-reaching industrial revolution.
