On Monday, Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, unveiled its intention to launch a fully electric minicar, the Fiat Topolino, in the American market. Olivier François, the CEO of Fiat, has validated this strategy and mentioned that additional information will be disclosed in the coming year. The Topolino, characterized by its retro aesthetic and budget-friendly price point, is designed for short-distance travel, with a maximum speed of 45 km/h and a driving range of 75 km. This move comes after former U.S. President Trump's directive to ease regulations on the production and operation of minicars, clearing the path for the vehicle's introduction to the U.S. market.
