On December 8, reports indicated that in response to the 'dual loss of control' challenges in new energy vehicles—namely, thermal runaway and uncontrolled acceleration—the State Administration for Market Regulation, in conjunction with domestic research institutions, has pioneered advanced investigation and defect identification technologies for such incidents. Furthermore, it has established a comprehensive risk prevention and control system that integrates 'online early warning mechanisms with offline detection procedures'. Leveraging the 'Smart Supervision Cloud Platform for New Energy Vehicles', this system has evolved into a holistic technical framework for risk management and is now operational, offering robust technical backing to enhance the scientific rigor of recall oversight and safeguard consumer well-being.

Among its innovations, the in-depth investigation technology for 'dual loss of control' accidents has introduced a groundbreaking 'dual-trace' fusion analysis approach. This method surpasses the constraints of conventional techniques, facilitating a more precise determination of accident causes. Additionally, it has established pertinent investigation protocols and standards. Presently, this technology has been effectively utilized in conducting thorough investigations into 48 fire incidents and 30 sudden loss of control accidents involving new energy vehicles, markedly elevating the precision and credibility of accident cause determination.
