The brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLB has made its global debut, presenting both all-electric and gasoline-powered versions. The all-electric variant is outfitted with an 800V electrical system, an 85kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and a two-speed transmission, delivering a WLTP range of up to 631 kilometers. The gasoline-powered model incorporates 48V mild hybrid technology along with a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
In terms of design, the vehicle stays true to the iconic Mercedes-Benz family aesthetic, with its front grille showcasing dynamically lit LED star emblems. The interior comes in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations, boasting an extended wheelbase and generous trunk space. The all-electric variant even features an additional front trunk.
Step inside, and you'll find three sizable screens, a dual-layer floating center console, and the cutting-edge MB.OS architecture that integrates seamlessly with AI technology. Moreover, the vehicle is equipped with a pilot assist driving system, which relies on a comprehensive perception system composed of multiple cameras, radars, and ultrasonic sensors for enhanced safety and convenience.
