On December 2, XPENG Motors and Huawei co-hosted a media technology sharing event at Huawei's Songshan Lake campus. During this event, they unveiled Huawei's DriveONE full-stack, highly integrated, high-voltage oil-cooled generator on a global scale and introduced the XPENG X9 Super Extended-Range vehicle model.
This generator stands out in the industry with its highest continuous power density of 1.88kW/kg, operational power generation efficiency of no less than 92%, and offers a seamless extended-range driving experience. It serves as the cornerstone of XPENG's Kunpeng Super Extended-Range technology.
The XPENG X9 Super Extended-Range vehicle redefines the standards for the next generation of extended-range vehicles through its innovative combination of an 'ultra-fast charging large battery and a sizable fuel tank'. This setup ensures an extended pure electric driving range, rapid charging speeds, robust power output even when the battery is low, low overall energy consumption, reduced extended-range noise levels, and high space efficiency within the vehicle.
The two companies worked together to overcome four significant technical hurdles: optimizing layout space, enhancing power generation efficiency, ensuring consistent power retention capability and driving experience, and achieving optimal vehicle NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) matching. Through their collaborative efforts, they have established a new benchmark in extended-range technology.
