On November 26, data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) revealed that, over the period from November 1 to 23, the national market witnessed retail sales of 1.384 million passenger cars. This represented an 11% year-on-year decline and a 2% month-on-month decrease. However, the cumulative retail sales volume since the start of the year has climbed to 20.64 million vehicles, marking a 6% year-on-year increase.
During the same timeframe, the nationwide wholesale volume of passenger cars by manufacturers reached 1.69 million vehicles. Although this was an 8% year-on-year decrease, it signaled an 8% month-on-month rise. The cumulative wholesale volume for the year so far has hit 25.464 million vehicles, showing an 11% year-on-year uptick.
Turning to the new energy passenger car market, from November 1 to 23, retail sales hit 849,000 vehicles. This reflected a 3% year-on-year growth and an 8% month-on-month surge. The cumulative retail sales volume since the beginning of the year has soared to 10.998 million vehicles, with a 20% year-on-year increase.
In the same period, the national wholesale volume of new energy vehicles by passenger car manufacturers stood at 995,000 vehicles. This showed a 4% year-on-year increase and a notable 13% month-on-month rise. The cumulative wholesale volume since the start of the year has reached 13.051 million vehicles, marking a 27% year-on-year spike.
