In September of this year, Mercedes-Benz revealed its plans to introduce an entry-level SUV, dubbed the ‘Baby G’, aiming to create a product lineup akin to Land Rover’s. Presently, a camouflaged prototype of this vehicle has taken to the streets for testing. Compared to the EQS SUV and the iconic ‘Big G’, this new model boasts a more compact stature. Visually, the ‘Baby G’ preserves the timeless, boxy silhouette characteristic of the ‘Big G’, complete with three side windows, an external spare tire, and innovative headlight designs. Underpinning this vehicle is an all-new ‘Mini Gradient Frame Chassis’ architecture, which features uniquely crafted body components. Its suspension and wheel dimensions closely mirror those of the ‘Big G’. Notably, the ‘Baby G’ is anticipated to be available solely as a pure electric model, marking a departure from the ‘Big G’s approach of offering both gasoline and electric variants.
