As per the most recent survey conducted by TrendForce Consulting, the global sales of new energy vehicles soared to 5.39 million units in the third quarter of 2025. This marks a substantial year-on-year increase of 31%. Specifically, sales of battery electric vehicles skyrocketed to 3.71 million units, showing a remarkable 48% year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, sales of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles reached 1.67 million units, with a modest 4% year-on-year rise.
