Today, BYD unveiled a strategic partnership with Midea, aiming to co-create a groundbreaking smart living paradigm known as the "People-Vehicle-Home" ecosystem. This innovative collaboration will empower users to effortlessly control their home appliances directly from their vehicles and manage their cars remotely from the comfort of their homes. Previously, Yangwang Automobile, a subsidiary of BYD, revealed that Fang Hongbo, the Chairman and President of Midea Group, had become the proud owner of the Yangwang U8L Dingshi Edition. This milestone was marked by a personal handover ceremony, where BYD's Chairman, Wang Chuanfu, presented the vehicle to Fang Hongbo. During the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show held last weekend, BYD showcased enhanced versions of its Han L and Tang L models. These upgrades featured improved ecological interconnection capabilities, enabling seamless integration with home appliances from renowned brands such as Midea. Additionally, BYD introduced a range of cutting-edge ecological accessories to further enrich the user experience.
