Geely Auto and Renault have announced their intention to jointly invest 3.8 billion reais (equivalent to approximately $714 million) in Brazil. This collaborative effort aims to develop new vehicle models and bolster their competitiveness in South America's largest automotive market. According to a joint statement issued by the two automotive giants on Tuesday, a portion of this investment will be channeled into Geely's innovative zero-emission and low-emission platform. This strategic move lays the groundwork for the production of two cutting-edge vehicle models, slated to commence in the latter half of 2026. The remainder of the funds will be allocated to revamping an existing Renault model next year, with the anticipation of unveiling a brand-new model in 2027.
