On November 13, Evergrande Auto made a public announcement stating that it had been notified of a legal ruling issued by the Tianjin Binhai New Area People's Court. According to the ruling, the court has officially accepted the bankruptcy and liquidation petition that was submitted by creditors targeting Evergrande Auto's indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, Evergrande New Energy Vehicle (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.
This particular subsidiary boasts a registered share capital amounting to RMB 4.1 billion and holds the legal title as the registered owner of the production facilities in Tianjin dedicated to intelligent mobility products. However, operations at this manufacturing base have come to a halt, with production being suspended since January 2024.
Furthermore, the trading of the company's shares has been put on hold since April 1, 2025. This suspension will persist and remain in effect until a subsequent announcement is made.
