On November 11, Chen Shihua, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), announced that the new energy vehicle (NEV) market has witnessed a relatively robust growth trajectory throughout this year. This surge can be primarily attributed to two key factors:

Firstly, the domestic vehicle trade-in subsidy program has continued to wield significant influence, characterized by generous subsidy amounts and broad eligibility criteria. This initiative has effectively propelled market expansion by incentivizing consumers to upgrade their vehicles.

Secondly, the anticipation of a 50% reduction in the purchase tax for new energy vehicles next year has spurred some consumers to make purchases ahead of time, thereby fueling a fresh wave of consumption peaks.

Furthermore, industry experts have highlighted that Chinese NEV manufacturers have rolled out a diverse range of new products this year, coupled with technological advancements in their offerings and enhanced energy replenishment infrastructure. These collective efforts have synergistically contributed to the market's remarkable growth.
