On Monday, Charles Moore, the recently appointed CEO of First Brands Group, provided testimony in a federal court. He disclosed that Patrick James, the founder of the company, had directed the finance department to funnel hundreds of millions of dollars from the company's coffers into his personal bank accounts, family trusts, and associated enterprises. Furthermore, Charles Moore revealed that within just a few weeks of assuming his position, he uncovered extensive financial malfeasance within the company. This included the forging of invoices and the repeated use of identical assets as collateral to secure loans from multiple lending institutions, a practice that is both unethical and illegal.
