According to the blogger "Auto 365 Hotline," Mr. Chen, who owns an SAIC Volkswagen ID.3, shared that he bought the ID.3 in August of this year. After covering roughly 4,000 kilometers, he began experiencing persistent false alarms from the vehicle's radar system. Even when stationary at traffic lights with no obstructions in the vicinity, the left-front and left-rear radars would repeatedly emit warning signals. Moreover, during low-speed driving without any obstacles, the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) system would abruptly activate, causing the vehicle to slam on the brakes unexpectedly. Mr. Chen further recounted that on September 30th, as he was getting ready to park for charging, with the vehicle in neutral (N) gear and the electronic handbrake activated, the gear unexpectedly switched to drive (D) gear. Consequently, the vehicle surged forward and crashed into the wall ahead, resulting in damage to both headlights, the bumper, and the hood. He has reached out to the manufacturer on several occasions to request the accident data, but so far, the manufacturer has not complied.
