Lu Weibing, who serves as both a Partner and the President of Xiaomi Group, recently took to social media to share his experience of completing a two-day test drive of the Xiaomi SU7 in Germany, covering a distance of nearly 800 kilometers. Throughout the test drive, he was impressed by Germany's highly developed charging infrastructure and observed that the vehicle frequently drew the curiosity and admiration of local onlookers.

During the drive, Lu Weibing pushed the Xiaomi SU7 to its limits, reaching speeds of up to 260 km/h on Germany's unrestricted highway sections—a feat he accomplished for the first time. Despite the high speeds, the vehicle maintained remarkable stability. He also disclosed that Xiaomi Auto has set its sights on expanding into the European market by 2027.

On the evening of August 19, Lu Weibing further revealed that the upcoming YU7 series will build upon the exceptional performance of the SU7 and is poised to become another major hit. Xiaomi Auto expects to start turning a profit in the latter half of 2026 and make its official foray into the European market the following year, in 2027.

In the second quarter, Xiaomi Auto's operational losses were significantly reduced to 300 million yuan, and there is a possibility of achieving monthly or quarterly profitability in the latter half of the year. However, due to the substantial investments of over 30 billion yuan made in the past three years, which have resulted in significant cumulative losses, it will still take some time for the company to achieve full profitability.
