In October 2025, the number of new vehicle registrations for BYD in the UK was nearly six times that of Tesla. Since the start of this year, BYD has witnessed a remarkable surge in its UK sales, with the figure soaring more than fivefold to reach 39,103 units. In contrast, Tesla's sales in the UK have experienced a decline of 4.5%, dropping to 35,455 units. Previously, in September, BYD's sales in the UK hit 11,271 units, marking an astonishing year-on-year surge of 880% and a month-on-month increase of 541%. The cumulative sales for the first nine months stood at 35,604 units, representing a year-on-year growth of 576.9%. This performance has enabled BYD to outpace brands like Tesla.
