On November 5, 2025, Stellantis Group made a public announcement regarding a global recall of 375,000 plug-in hybrid models of the Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee SUVs. This recall was initiated due to identified battery malfunctions. Up to now, there have been 19 reported incidents of fires, with one resulting in an injury. The group strongly advises vehicle owners to park their cars outdoors and refrain from charging them until the problem has been fully addressed. Out of the recalled vehicles, roughly 320,000 are in the U.S. market, and the batteries at the center of this issue are produced by Samsung SDI.
