On October 31, Li Auto issued a public apology and declared a recall of 11,411 vehicles from the same production batch. Following a thorough investigation, it was determined that the root cause of the recall lay in the inadequate anti - corrosion properties of the coolant in this particular batch. Under specific operating conditions, this deficiency could trigger corrosion and leakage of the cooling aluminum plates used for the power battery and the front motor controller within the cooling circuit. In extreme scenarios, such a situation could potentially lead to thermal runaway of the power battery, thereby posing significant safety risks. To rectify the issue, Li Auto will offer free replacements of the coolant, power battery, and front motor controller for all the recalled vehicles.
