On November 3, 2025, Tengku Zafrul, the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia, held a meeting with a delegation from Hyundai Motor Company. During the meeting, the two parties delved into Hyundai's proposal to transform Malaysia into a regional center for renewable energy and clean mobility solutions. Tengku Zafrul emphasized that Malaysia extends a warm welcome to Hyundai's initiative of launching a hydrogen energy production project in Johor. Moreover, the Malaysian government is fully committed to offering extensive support to facilitate the smooth execution of this project.
