Recently, Tesla has unveiled its "Tesla Ride" service in the U.S. market, offering consumers an immersive 45-minute experience of its cutting-edge Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology. During this hands-on session, participants take the driver's seat, while a Tesla advisor, seated in the passenger seat, provides guidance and explanations about the FSD features throughout the journey. Additionally, passengers have the unique opportunity to engage with the in-car AI assistant, Grok, adding an interactive dimension to the experience.
To join the "Tesla Ride" program, individuals need to present a valid driver's license and proof of car insurance. Advance booking is strongly recommended to secure a spot. The program is set to kick off in October 2025, with an initial end date in November. However, some regions may extend the availability until late December. Currently, the service is accessible in multiple states across the U.S.
Tesla has made it clear that the current FSD system, which operates under supervision, has not yet achieved full autonomy. The primary goal of the "Tesla Ride" initiative is to deepen users' understanding of FSD technology and enable a broader audience to appreciate the convenience and excitement that future mobility solutions can offer.
