Beijing Li Auto Co., Ltd. has taken a proactive stance by submitting a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation, adhering to the relevant regulations and their implementing measures. Effective from November 7, 2025, the company will initiate a recall of 11,411 Li Auto MEGA 2024 vehicles, which were manufactured between February 18 and December 27, 2024. The root cause of the recall lies in the inadequate anti-corrosion properties of the coolant used. This deficiency may result in the corrosion and subsequent leakage of the cooling aluminum plates within the power battery and front motor controller. Such leakage can trigger a range of issues, including the illumination of fault lights, restricted power output, or even a complete failure to power on. In severe scenarios, there exists a potential risk of thermal runaway within the power battery. To address this issue, Li Auto will undertake the replacement of the coolant, power battery, and front motor controller for all recalled vehicles at no cost to the owners. Furthermore, the company will leverage cloud-based early warning systems, its 400 customer service hotline, and the vehicle's Ecall functionality to provide timely warnings and coordinate rescue efforts in advance.
