National Energy Administration and Hong Kong’s Environment and Ecology Bureau Ink Cooperation Pact to Boost Charging Facility Connectivity in the Greater Bay Area

On October 24, 2025, Song Hongkun, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration, and Tse Chin-wan, Secretary for the Environment and Ecology of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, came together in Suzhou to sign the “Cooperation Arrangement on Fostering Connectivity of Charging Facilities in the Greater Bay Area.” Under this agreement, both parties will work hand in hand to enhance the seamless integration of charging infrastructure across the Greater Bay Area. They will also deepen their exchanges regarding technologies and standards for charging facilities, while championing the pioneering rollout and adoption of ChaoJi, the next-gen charging technology, in Hong Kong. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of relevant officials, including Huang Xuenong, Director of Supervision at the National Energy Administration.
