On October 28, 2025, Stellantis Group unveiled a groundbreaking collaborative effort with NVIDIA, Uber, and Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd.). The aim is to collectively delve into the research, development, and rollout of L4-level autonomous taxis on a global scale. Under the terms of this agreement, Stellantis is set to incorporate NVIDIA's DRIVE AV software to attain L4 autonomous driving capabilities. NVIDIA will supply the DRIVE AV software, which is built upon the DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 architecture. This software suite encompasses both L4 parking and driving functionalities. Foxconn will join forces with Stellantis in the realm of hardware and system integration. Meanwhile, Uber will take charge of operating the robotaxi service. This includes a range of tasks such as remote monitoring, scheduling of charging sessions, vehicle cleaning and maintenance, as well as providing top-notch customer service. As a premier partner, Stellantis is committed to supplying Uber with a minimum of 5,000 autonomous taxis. Foxconn will be in charge of the hardware integration and system development for these vehicles. These cutting-edge taxis are slated to make their debut in the United States in 2028, with a subsequent phased expansion into international markets. This partnership represents a major leap forward in Stellantis' global strategy for autonomous vehicle services. By pooling their respective expertise and resources, the four partners are poised to accelerate the commercialization of autonomous driving technology.
