On October 28th, news emerged that Xiaomi Automobile has recently carried out an organizational reshuffle, establishing a brand-new, top-tier Architecture Department. This department is tasked with charting out the technology architecture for the next generation of intelligent electric vehicles.

Directly reporting to Lei Jun, the department's team comprises several heads of R&D departments along with key core personnel. Insiders with knowledge of the situation revealed that Cui Qiang, previously in charge of vehicle R&D, has now been reassigned to the Architecture Department. Meanwhile, Wang Zhensuo, who formerly headed the electric powertrain division, has stepped into the role of leading vehicle R&D efforts.
