On October 8, analysts at Wedbush Securities released a report highlighting that, in comparison to other available models in the market, Tesla's lower-priced variants of the Model 3 and Model Y continue to command relatively premium prices. Specifically, the newly introduced version of the Model 3 is priced at $36,990, whereas the corresponding new variant of the Model Y carries a price tag of $39,990. These prices reflect a decrease of roughly $5,000 from their previous iterations and are comparable to the out-of-pocket costs consumers incurred when federal tax incentives for electric vehicles were still in effect.

While analysts conveyed a degree of disappointment regarding the pricing strategy for these new model releases, they also acknowledged that this move represents Tesla's initial stride towards realizing its ambitious target of delivering approximately 500,000 vehicles on a quarterly basis.
