On October 3, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, reported that her discussions with John Elkann, representing both Stellantis and Ferrari, had unfolded seamlessly. She noted that the electric vehicle (EV) market is currently experiencing promising growth. In light of this, the EU has devised a comprehensive action plan for the automotive sector. This plan encompasses a €1.8 billion initiative to ramp up battery production, along with a program to make electric vehicles more affordable. The overarching goal is to reduce costs and enhance production capacity within Europe.
