Recently, details regarding a brand-new 'Model Y Standard Variant' (hereinafter dubbed the 'Budget-Friendly Variant') have surfaced within the source code of Tesla's official website. Through bloggers' in-depth analysis, it's been uncovered that, in comparison to the Long Range and Performance variants, the Budget-Friendly Variant has undergone numerous design and configuration modifications. These changes encompass a redesigned front bumper, integrated headlamps, the omission of the front Penetrating Light Strip (a term referring to a continuous lighting element), a closed-roof architecture, new 18-inch alloy wheels, fabric interior accents, manual steering wheel adjustment, a 15.4-inch touchscreen interface with the exclusion of a secondary touchscreen for rear-seat passengers, manual operation of the rear air vents, and the inclusion of solely a standard air particulate filter.
Despite these alterations in configuration, the vehicle's cargo capacity remains outstanding, boasting a volume of 75 cubic feet (equivalent to approximately 2.12 cubic meters). The code snippet reveals that the Budget-Friendly Variant of the Model Y is priced at $39,990 (roughly equivalent to RMB 285,000), positioning it as Tesla's most affordable SUV model currently on the market.
