Recently, a launch ceremony was held to commemorate the establishment of China's largest Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) microgrid, alongside the unveiling of GAC's 20,000th charging station. V2G, an acronym for Vehicle-to-Grid technology, facilitates a two-way flow of energy between electric vehicles (EVs) and the electrical grid. This innovative approach allows pure electric vehicle models to serve as portable energy storage devices. Through this system, users have the opportunity to sell any excess electricity back to the grid, thereby earning additional income. Notably, this V2G microgrid project stands out as the largest of its kind in China and marks the first centralized V2G system integration project to successfully achieve a 10kV medium-voltage grid connection.
