The Commerce Department of Jiangsu Province has released an official notice announcing the suspension of the vehicle trade - in subsidy policy, which will take effect at 24:00 on September 28. For consumers who have secured invoices for new vehicles and fulfill the eligibility requirements from January 1 to September 28, 2025, they are required to submit a full set of application documents prior to 24:00 on October 20. In cases where an application has already been filed but necessitates amendments or additional supporting materials, the process must be finalized before 24:00 on October 31. From 0:00 on September 29 onwards, a new “qualify first, then apply for subsidy” procedure will be introduced for vehicle scrapping and replacement subsidies. The detailed approaches and qualification - obtaining procedures will be unveiled separately. Additionally, the Commerce Department has also provided answers to common inquiries, such as whether submitted applications will impact subsidy disbursement, the handling of unreviewed applications, approved applications without subsidy payment, and the channels for seeking further information.
