On September 27, reports emerged that the latest weekly production schedule at Li Auto's Changzhou plant reveals a projected annual production capacity for the Li Auto i6 model, spanning from September onwards, of between 45,000 and 50,000 units. According to the plan, September will see an available inventory of 7,000 units, predominantly rear-wheel-drive models. From October onward, production capacity at the Changzhou factory will steadily ramp up, reaching 13,000 units. For November and December, Li Auto has set production targets at 23,000 units and 25,000 units, respectively. A Li Auto staff member mentioned that this projection is conservative, and the company is making vigorous efforts to boost production capacity to expedite the delivery of new vehicles to a broader customer base. Another Li Auto sales department employee disclosed that, while precise sales figures for the i6 remain undisclosed, internal sources suggest that its sales have outperformed those of the L9 during its initial launch period. He further noted that, currently, not only are external customers eagerly purchasing the i6, but internal employees from retail, delivery, and after-sales departments are also buying the model.
