On September 27, Leapmotor released a statement addressing recent media reports claiming that it had been subjected to enforcement measures as a result of a business dispute. The root of this dispute lies in a contractual disagreement between Leapmotor and Guangzhou Shouqi Automobile Service Co., Ltd.
Leapmotor emphasized that it had fulfilled its financial obligation by paying the full amount of RMB 3,618,085.25 within the stipulated deadline outlined in the mediation agreement dated June 25, 2024. At present, both parties are engaged in active negotiations regarding the transfer of vehicle ownership, with the aim of reaching an amicable and appropriate resolution. Leapmotor also reiterated that its day-to-day operations remain unaffected and are proceeding as usual.
